- Hi all,
-
- I am considering getting Borland C++ version 4.5, so I can do my C++
- labs this term and for future computer courses I may need to program
- in, and am wondering if it is worthwhile or if there is another one
- which might be better, such as Symantec or MS Visual C++(which the
- college I am attending has installed). A friend has recommended
- Borland but another friend says Symantec ver. 7.2 is better. All I am
- looking for is one that will get me by for my labs as I am not highly
- interested in software development rather in the hardware end of
- computing. As Borland seems to be the cheapest, at $138 for ver. 4.5
- on CDRom from my school computer store, I am leaning that way.
-
- If anyone has any suggestions or comments please either email me
- directly or post them to the group.
-
- Thanks,
-
- John.
